stained glass windows
Today, stained-glass windows are created in assembled glass or from a single piece of thermoformed glass.
The plurality of techniques allows artists to express themselves in new ways.
Here are three orientations of the art of stained glass, as I’ve been practicing it since Easter 2009.
Figurative
Figurative stained-glass windows are those that are guided most closely by nature, and very often by the human figure.
Geometric
The geometric stained-glass windows blend into the architecture, with compositions that retain the spirit of Cistercian art.
Thermoformed
These stained glass appeared with the large furnaces, and are the fruit of the technological advances that have given their stamp to glass.
